The Latino Equality Alliance Scholarship program supports LGBTQ+ students who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing the mission of the LEA and the LGBT movement. Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to participate in a series of Career and Professional Development workshops led by Latinx LGBTQ+ Leaders. Awards will range from $1,000 to $5,000.
The deadline to apply is April 9, 2021 at 11:59 PM.
Awardees will be informed by April 29th, 2021.

Students must meet the following criteria:
o High school seniors residing within the greater Los Angeles area who will be attending an accredited college,
university, or vocational school or;
o Current college students (who attended high school in the greater Los Angeles area) attending an accredited
college, university, or vocational school.
o Proof of acceptance or attendance to an accredited college, university, or vocational school will be required.
o The scholarship is targeted towards self-identified Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or other identity
within the LGBTQ+ community, graduating high school seniors and/or currently attending college students.
Undocumented and Dream Act Students are eligible.
o Must have at least a 2.0 or above GPA.
o Must be available to attend a virtual Scholarships Award Banquet on May 20 at 6pm.
*Please note that this scholarship does involve some kind of public recognition which may include photos, video, public, interviews, newspaper publication, and social media postings.
